Malibu Creek State Park's MASH Site

The never-ending sunshine, tall palm trees and unique dry deserts of Southern California make Malibu a top destination for a beach vacation. But the town has much more to offer than just a sand-filled beach, with gorgeous hikes around the area.

Hiking in Malibu is not only an incredibly rewarding experience, but it's also a great way to get a healthy dose of exercise, while enjoying the stunning scenery. In fact, there are so many different trails in this park that you're bound to find something that's right for you.

Malibu Creek State Park is a beautiful and historic park that's located in Calabasas, Agoura and Malibu CA 91302. This scenic wilderness wonderland is a haven for outdoor recreation, including hiking, biking, horseback riding and camping.

The park is also home to a variety of wildlife, from raccoons to bobcats to mountain lions, making it an ideal spot for spotting these creatures during your day-long adventure.

During your Malibu Creek State Park hike, be sure to stop by the MASH Site to take in some old MASH memorabilia!

MASH was a popular television series that aired on 20th Century Fox from 1972-1983. The show featured doctors, nurses and soldiers in an army medical camp in Korea.

Today, the set at this former movie ranch is a museum with some rusted out military hardware and photo exhibits. This short 4.75-mile hike is a quick and easy day out, but you may want to bring water and sunscreen.

Another cool thing about this MASH site is that it has a directional sign! You'll want to follow the arrows to see where they point.

Aside from the relics, you'll also be treated to views of Malibu Lake and Century Lake.

To visit the MASH site, you can either drive to Century Lake and park at the trailhead or hike a few miles from the parking lot along Crags Road.

There's a small fee to enter the MASH site, but it's well worth it for the history and experience of the site.

If you're a fan of the show, be sure to pay a visit and see what remains of the MASH site in Hidden Hills CA 91302.

The MASH Site is a great place for a family picnic, or if you have kids, a place for them to get their energy out!

One of the most popular trails in this park is the Solstice Canyon Trail, which has beautiful cliff-side views of the Pacific Ocean. The hike is very popular and can become crowded on weekends, but it's still a fantastic hike if you want to get in some extra exercise while taking in the scenic views.

This is a great hiking trail for families, and it's also great to see some wildflowers during the springtime!

Another excellent hiking trail in this park is the Zuma Trail. The Zuma trail is a little more challenging than the others, so it's recommended for seasoned hikers with lots of experience.
